July 13, 2023 – MILLVILLE, NJ
On Thursday, July 13th, people from the community and beyond gathered at the Finish Line Pub at New Jersey Motorsports Park for a great cause, raising over $20,000 to help support the children involved in the Make-A-Wish New Jersey program.
New Jersey Motorsports Park partnered with Millville’s Mayor Lisa Orndorf to raise funds for a worthy cause that is dear to the community and the mayor, herself. Make-A-Wish New Jersey is a charitable organization that grants wishes for children diagnosed with critical illnesses with the help of donations made by everyday people. These wishes can range from parties to vacations to once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Through granting wishes, Make-A-Wish provides children and their families with hope and strength during the most challenging times in their lives.

Their passion for our mission has impacted an entire community and we are excited to continue this great relationship in the future.”Mayor Lisa Orndorf holds a special connection to Make-A-Wish, being the parent of a Make-A-Wish child herself. After Make-A-Wish helped grant a special vacation to Britain for her daughter and her family, Mayor Orndorf has been dedicated to supporting the charity so other children may experience the same joy her daughter received from her granted wish.

“We set a goal to grant at least one wish, well the Millville community and track community came together and crushed that goal,” says Millville Mayor Lisa Orndorf. “When I spoke with my daughter, she asked how the event went, I said ‘Briget guess what, the event raised enough to grant four wishes!’ She was so excited, and said, ‘I wish I was there.’ I can’t thank the Millville community and NJMP enough for hosting this spectacular event.”
During the Make-A-Wish Celebrity Bartender Fundraiser at the Finish Line Pub, the celebrity bartender, Mayor Lisa Orndorf, interacted with guests and mixed specialty cocktails flavored with signature spirits provided by Millville’s Mission Spirits Brewery. 100% of the proceeds made from the night’s three specialty cocktails and a portion of the proceeds from all other drink orders were donated to Make-A-Wish New Jersey.
