Connected to Lightning is NJMP’s 1.1 mile world class karting facility. The karting facility features eight dramatic configurations many of which can be run simultaneously.
Information
There are two challenging tracks at Tempest Raceway – Avenger and Liberator. Tempest Raceway is considered one of the top outdoor karting complexes in the U.S.
While Walk-ups are accepted, Reservations are strongly recommended and take precedent over those without.
Arrive & Drive Go-Karting

An Arrive & Drive is a 15-minute track session, in which drivers can get 15 – 20 laps in. For questions about Arrive & Drive sessions please call 856-327-7213 during the hours of 3pm – 10pm Friday – Sunday. Our primary mode of operation is what the industry calls “Arrive & Drive” racing. Simply visit the track during normal business hours and we’ll book you, your friends, and your family into an upcoming Arrive & Drive. An Arrive & Drive is a 15-minute track session, in which drivers can get 15 – 20 laps in. Drivers must be at least 13 years of age and 5’0 tall. Parents or guardians of minors must be present at the time of registration or complete and have notarized the Parental Permission form below. Reservations recommended, but not required. Endurance Races

Grab a few friends and team up for an endurance race at Tempest Raceway! Teams will compete for the most laps within the race timeframe. There are two endurance race options: a 2-Hour Team Endurance Race or a 3-Hour Team Endurance Race. Karting Endurance Races are open to all drivers and teams, regardless of experience. - Up to 12 teams of 2-4 people will compete in each Endurance Race
- One (1) NJMP rental go-kart per team assigned at random
- Le Mans-style Start
- Minimum 3 Green Flag Pit Stops
- The driver on deck will be given a 5 minute and 2 minute warning prior to the driver switch
- Teams will be given a mandatory drivers meeting and a 30-minute practice before the race
- Teams will be responsible for strategizing driver changes when the pit is open
- Registration is required on Motorsports Reg
- Cost is $650 per team, per 3-Hour Race; $450 per team, per 2-Hour Race
- Teams will compete for a PRIZE!
- No aggressive driving allowed. Anyone driving aggressively or in a dangerous manner will be asked to leave the race

Rental Kart League

Reservations are required. Each driver who wins one of the two races per round will be awarded at the end of the night during podium celebrations. Points will be awarded all throughout the field of competitors for championship point’s calculation. NJMP hosts Arrive & Drive League Racing in our rental fleet several times a year on Friday nights! Our Leagues run on 5 consecutive Fridays(weather permitting) and consist of 20 total races, half of which earn you points based on finishing position. These points are calculated throughout the season to determine the Winner. Drivers are held to universal standards of on track etiquette, where respect and sportsmanship amongst competitors is paramount. We are thrilled to announce that there are now two age groups for a Rental Kart Leagues. We have the NJMP 25 and Under Leagues (7pm Races) and the New Jersey Lottery 25 and Up Leagues (8pm Races). Compete with drivers on an common skill level!
League Members may add a $20 warm-up session on race dates based upon availability.

Race Format:

All kart and bike owners will be required to obtain NJMP Karting Club Competition Credentials in order to participate in NJMP Competition Practice sessions.

Karting Club Membership
The Karting Club is a Go-Karting Membership designed for devoted drivers who regularly participate in NJMP Karting. Through the new program, drivers have the exclusive opportunity to develop their on-track skills through select discounted track offerings and community involvement.

Event requirements
All karting members must be 5ft tall and 13 years of age. If a participant is under the age of 18, a legal parent or guardian must be present to allow membership.
Membership is valid upon purchase until the end of the season (Season runs from March through November)
