MILLVILLE, NJ (October 17, 2025) – Forty7 Motorsports, known for providing support for drivers both on and off the track, has sold its prime location, assets, and ownership interest in New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) to the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) professional race program: Van der Steur Racing (VDSR).
Gunnar van der Steur, president and founder of Electrostatic Finishing Components and Systems, Inc. (EFC), is the founder of VDSR, a team competing in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship , with Gunnar’s son, Rory van der Steur, as the lead driver.
Van der Steur Racing has been involved in IMSA for two decades, initially competing in the American Le Mans Series with prototypes like the Lola B2K/40 and Radical SR9. In 2024, the team was active in the GS class of the Michelin Pilot Challenge. Then for the 2025 season, VDSR moved to the WeatherTech Championship’s GTD class with the #19 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo. Now, its focus lies on the five IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup events using their Aston Martin Racing and Prodrive partnerships for support.
“We are very excited to start this next chapter of van der Steur Racing at New Jersey Motorsports Park,” says Gunnar van der Steur, “Positioning ourselves inside such an incredible facility opens up many more opportunities for our team to expand in both our professional programs as well as track side support. As a team our goal is to continue to compete as a top-level program in IMSA and SRO, but we are ready to explore how we can use our presence at NJMP to better the racing the community within the track.”
The VDSR’s new NJMP base is located on what is commonly referred to as NJMP’s Commercial Corner. These premium building lots are ideal for motorsports-related businesses, like VDSR, who are looking for the convenience and the advantage of property within a professional racetrack. These lots are available for purchase through NJMP co-owner, Lee Brahin.
“Van der Steur Racing is the perfect fit for this location at NJMP,” says NJMP co-owner, Lee Brahin, “We’ve always envisioned this area servicing a motorsports platform, such as VDSR, and we are excited to have the opportunity to play a part in VDSR’s movement in the motorsports industry.”
NJMP holds a great interest in VDSR’s successful future which lies with their team: Team Manager, Chris Deely; Rory van der Steur; Valentin Hasse-Clot; and Anthony McIntosh.
