– New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) is gearing up for one of the most anticipated events of the season as the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East makes NASCAR’s inaugural visit to the Millville track September 17. The JUSTDRIVE.com 125 race weekend will feature two days of tire burning action with BMW CCA New Jersey as the race support series.
“We’re excited to head to New Jersey Motorsports Park in September,” said Chris Wright, NASCAR K&N Pro Series East director. “It’s a top notch facility that will showcase the immense competition and variety of talent in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. We look forward to putting on a great show for the fans in New Jersey.”
Since 2007, the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East has produced stars such as the 2011 Daytona 500 winner Trevor Bayne, 2015 Daytona 500 champion Joey Logano and 2014 NASCAR XFINITY Series champion Chase Elliott, along with NASCAR Next drivers Ryan Blaney, Kyle Larson, Darrell Wallace Jr., Daniel Suarez.

The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission’s Just Drive public awareness campaign seeks to educate drivers in New Jersey about the dangers and consequences of using a mobile phone while driving. As of July 2014, New Jersey has increased the fines for talking or texting on a handheld device while driving. Offending drivers face a minimum fine of $200 for the first offense, a minimum fine of $400 for a second offense, and a minimum fine of $600 plus a possible 90-day license suspension and three motor vehicle penalty points for the third offense.
